Rexdale Community Legal Clinic

Rexdale Community Legal Clinic is a legal clinic providing free legal assistance to people with low income living in our community. In addition, we also provide public legal education and information. We are funded by Legal Aid Ontario and administered by a local Board of Directors, which is elected annually from our membership. You may become a member if you live or work in our area. If you are interested, you can apply for membership at our office.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

We can provide legal advice and assistance in the following areas;

  • Housing Problems and Tenant Rights
  • Employment Insurance
  • Employment Standards
  • Ontario Works (Welfare)
  • Ontario Disability Support Program
  • Canada Pension Plan Disability
  • Wrongful dismissal
  • Human Rights
  • Immigration

We also provide community education in several areas of law to local groups, schools and other organizations.

If we cannot assist you, we will refer you to someone who can.

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?

There is no charge for the services provided by the clinic. There may be minor costs related to your case which will be discussed with you at your first interview with us.
